Things to do before we have a baby! And an allergic reaction.

Crazy title right? Lets start with the first part…. Bottom line, besides the lack of sleep we don’t really see ourselves missing out on too much stuff when we have a child. However, I couldn’t resist making a list anyways. Mainly because I really like lists. I really REALLY like crossing things off lists 🙂

Here is my short list of the few things I really want to do before we have our baby.

Pretty self explanatory, right? And all over the place if I do say so myself, a lot like I am all the time.

Good thing is tonight I took care of #1. The husband got tickets through his company for the Water for the People event “Wine for Us.” Wine For Us directs all proceeds to the work of Water For People in developing sustainable water/sanitation infrastructure and health education/hygiene in developing countries. As a direct grassroots intervention, water/sanitation/hygiene serve to address the issues at the heart of the global crisis in health, well being and development. It helps communities break out of the vicious disease-poverty cycle and puts them back on the path to productivity, development and prosperity.

It’s drinking for a great cause! So we arrived at the Orange County History Center around 6:30 and it was a really nice location.

Once inside I headed right for the champagne! It was sweet and delicious. After a while though I noticed that I couldn’t stop sweating. I mean, it was really bad! Then I started itching and the next thing I new I had hives! I didn’t even make it to my second glass of wine! What a sign that drinking just isn’t for me anymore, right?? That’s okay though, I had plenty in my past 🙂

Anyways I went over to my husband and I just told him I had to get out of the party. We kicked it into high gear, got out and ran to the nearest drug store for some Benadryl. It worked pretty well and I’m starting to feel a lot better now. I’m going to focus on water for the rest of the evening and hope that this doesn’t happen again!!

I’m attaching a picture but I’m warning everyone–it’s NOT pretty!!

You’re been warned!!
