8 months

Eight Months.

Eight months that we’ve been trying to get pregnant.

Eight times that I’ve prayed and wished and hoped that I wouldn’t start my cycle that month.

Eight months that I’ve watched nearly everyone around me have a child or get pregnant (and it really is amazing how many people are having babies when you want it so bad and can’t)

According to the doctor’s and all the lab work and ultra sounds I’m healthy and normal.  In fact, we did get pregnant once (that’s another post for another day) but lost the baby after two months.

It shouldn’t shock anyone that knows me that I want this more than anything else.  Sometimes I just cry thinking that I may not be able to carry a child.  Then I stop and pray and realize that God is in control.  And I get that. I do. I just wish he would move his timetable up a little bit sooner for me…. give me a little clue… give me a little peace.

Here’s to hoping we won’t have another 8 months of waiting.

Sometimes you need a little sunshine….

In the quest to find my happiness I’ve been a little more relaxed… yesterday, I decided to really take time while doing my assignments and even went out for a fun lunch!

Starbucks was exactly what I needed.  I got a Venti un-sweet passion fruit tea lemonade and a protein box! Quite honestly, I feel like it’s one of the healthiest “on-the-go” lunches I can pick up around me.

Doesn’t hurt that my Starbucks has the greatest employees ever!

Working on getting my happiness isn’t so hard with great people around you Smile

Monday Boot Camp

Today will begin my new Get Fit At Home Boot Camp Plan!

This is week one and I’ll be posting Monday, Wednesday and Friday with workouts and ideas of what I’ll eat. Hopefully this will keep me accountable and on track!

Today starts day 1 (What better day than a Monday?). I’m still recovering from a cyst that I refuse to have surgically removed so I need to take it really easy. Quite honestly the past three weeks I have done ZERO exercise besides walking around at work and Target… that’s not a workout.

This morning I will do the following exercises:

10 Jumping Jacks
10 Push-ups
10 Sit-ups
10 Tricep Dips
10 Squats

Repeat 2 times

Then tonight I’ll go for a bike ride… if it’s raining we will move it indoors–no big deal!
Here’s the food plan:

Breakfast will be two scrambled eggs with whole grain toast and a coffee.

Yogurt for a snack.

Lunch will be a salad with soybeans and sprouts and some cheese.

Grapes and pretzels for a snack.

Dinner will be chicken breast and brown rice with broccoli.

And I’ll finish up my homemade ice cream for dessert! (I’ve got about 3/4 cups left).

Here we go! Nothing like the present to dive in and just get my lazy butt off the couch!
